Eng. Vasil Velev was one of the founders of the Association of Industrial Capital in Bulgaria (AIKB) in 1996 and is currently the Chairman of the Management Board. He is an Executive Director of Stara Planina Hold AD and HES AD, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of M+S Hydraulic AD — companies from the TOP 10 of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange. He holds a master's degree from the Faculty of Automation of TU-Sofia and from the University of Varna in Corporate Management. He is the Deputy Chairman of the Economic and Social Council and the Council of the Eureka Foundation. He is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of TU-Sofia.
