Georgi Lozanov

In 1981 he graduated in Philosophy at Sofia University. He worked in the magazine “Bulgarian Photo” between 1983 and 1989, and then he was editor and deputy editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Kultura” (since 1989). Editor-in-chief of the magazine “Egoist” (in the last two years of its existence — 2004-2006). Editor-in-chief of the magazine “Five Stars” (2006-2010).

Associate Professor at the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication of Sofia University (since 1994). Guest lecturer at New Bulgarian University, NATFIZ “Kr. Sarafov “, Plovdiv University “Paisii Hilendarski”. Head of the Department “Printing and Book Publishing” at the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communications of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” (1995-1998 and 2004-2010). Since the establishment of a media regulatory body in Bulgaria it has been a member: 1997-2001: National Council for Radio and Television (NSRT), from the presidential quota 2001-2004: Council for Electronic Media (SEM). Since 2010, he is again a member of the parliamentary quota and chairman of the Electronic Media Council (SEM) and its chairman.

Lozanov is the author of more than 100 scientific studies and more than 200 articles devoted to the issues of electronic and print media, culturology, art science, philosophy, aesthetics and literary criticism, as well as hundreds of publications in the press and appearances in electronic media.

Author of eight television films. He has participated in more than 100 Bulgarian and international conferences devoted to media and philosophy; participated in more than 30 projects in the field of media.
