About Maria Tsyncarova

Maria Tsyntsarova is an investigative journalist and reporter in the editorial office of bTV Novinite. She graduated in journalism from Sofia University, as well as a master's degree in management from New Bulgarian University. She became part of the bTV team in 2013 and is among the brightest investigative journalists in Bulgaria. Her reporter's findings include revelations about DPS vote-buying schemes, Delyan Peevski's property situation, investigations into people from the underworld, illegal drilling on a section of Struma highway and others.She has won numerous awards, including an award from the Radostina Konstina Foundation. In the difficult year for the whole world 2020, the bTV Novinite team also chose Maria Tsyncarova as the “Reporter of the Year” in its traditional annual competition.A few days before that, viewers saw another proof that Maria is an uncompromising investigative journalist - a huge public response was caused by her investigation for the platform “Hell” Karma”. In addition, she is also the author of the series “180 degrees” in the program “120 minutes”, and also proved herself as a strong presenter of current programs on the air of bTV.
