Hristo Koparanov is a partner and head of the competition, compliance and regulatory practice at Popov, Arnaudov & Partners Law Firm. His professional experience began in the Commission for Protection of Competition, and he participated in the working group on the drafting of the current Law on Protection of Competition. He has worked in the Communications Regulatory Commission, and for the last 10 years he has represented clients in all types of proceedings related to competition and consumer law, as well as compliance with the regulations. He has participated in projects together with the Consumer Protection Commission. There are a number of publications in Bulgarian and international publications related to the protection of free economic initiative, consumer protection, online trade.
Adv. Koparanov will present the regulatory requirements for online commerce, including the obligations of traders before and after concluding contracts with consumers. We will look at how the law ensures that online shoppers will not be misled and what rights they have, as well as what are the differences with the usual trade that takes place in physical stores. You will also hear the latest legal changes regarding user reviews published on the Internet and online platforms through which individuals can also sell their goods. The consequences will also be considered if the legal requirements are not met.
