Jane Dimitrova is 25. He studied Economics in Bologna, spent one semester in Argentina. Traveling, he sees a successful business struggling with food waste abroad. He completed a Master in Startup Management with the idea of one day recreating it in our country. After returning to Bulgaria, he met Velin and they both laid the foundations of Foodobox.
Velin Kerkov is 29 years old. Graduated in Programming in Scotland with Honours. After returning to Bulgaria he worked in a start-up in the food sector, then in a large IT corporation, and in the last 3 years he managed his own IT company with a team of about 10 people. He joined the Foodobox team from the beginning as CTO because he sees potential in the idea and wants to support the environment in our country with knowledge and experience.
Foodobox is the first mobile application in our country that fights food waste. Hear directly from the co-founders what they have learned along the way, how a working business model is recreated from abroad, and what challenges social entrepreneurs face in our country. Jane and Velyn will share more about starting the project, about their motivation, the importance of the team and what they wished they knew earlier but learned the hard way.
