Veselina Kavrakova is Executive Director of WWF Bulgaria. An ecologist by education, with a master's degree in ecology and environmental protection from Sofia University and in environmental science and policy from the Central European University in Budapest. He has been involved in the green non-governmental movement in Bulgaria since its inception.
He has been working for WWF since 2002, initially as an expert and head of conservation projects and programs, and since 2007 as head of the organization. The mission of WWF — to build a future in which people live in harmony with nature — is also a personal mission of Veselina.
She is a certified WWF Conservation and Innovation Leader, mentor and coach. She is a member of the Forum of European Directors and the Advisory Working Group on Global Campaigns of WWF, of the jury of the Annual Awards for Responsible Business of the Bulgarian Forum of Business Leaders and of the jury of the European Business Awards for the Environment of the European Commission.
