H.E. Mr. Todor Stoyanov is Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Italian Republic. His experience in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of R. Bulgaria started in 1995, where after working in the Consular Relations Directorate, he became Consul at the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Rome.
Later, he continued his consular activity in our consulate in Milan as a counselor, and later in 2008 he was appointed consul general there. In 2012 H.E. Mr. Stoychev has been appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria in Lisbon, the Portuguese Republic.
In the period 2017-2019 he held the position of Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and before that he managed the Human Resources Directorate in the Ministry.
Since 2019 he has been the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Italy.
N.Pr. Todor Stoyanov received a number of awards, including the Golden Honorary Badge of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria; Grand Knight of the Order of Infant Don Enrique by the President of the Portuguese Republic; Grand Cross for Merit to the Order of Malta, etc.
