Georgi Stoychev has nearly 30 years of professional experience as a journalist and manager of non-governmental organizations and media. He is the Executive Director of the Open Society Institute - Sofia. Previously, he worked as a director and editor in the Bulgarian department of Radio Free Europe in Prague. His professional career began in 1992 as an editor and news presenter of the Bulgarian National Television. Since 2010, he has been the head of the team that develops and maintains the rating system of higher education institutions in Bulgaria. Since 2012, he has been the manager of the NGO Support Program Operator in Bulgaria and the Active Citizens Fund under the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic
Space. Georgi Stoychev holds a master's degree in philosophy from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”.
