Dr. Boyko Takov is the Executive Director of the Executive Agency for the Promotion of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, appointed by order of the Minister of Economy Mr. Emil Karanikolov of November 12, 2018. Dr. Takov has over 12 years of experience in business management, and over the years he has held managerial positions in some of the most developed business areas, implementing investment and financial projects in the field of agriculture, energy and infrastructure.
In the period from 2008 to 2012, he held the position of Executive Director and member of the Board of Directors in the Bulgarian representation of a leading South Korean energy company. He obtained his Ph.D. degree at Technical University, Sofia, defending his dissertation in the specialty “Economics, Industrial Engineering and Management”. Since 2020, he has been a freelance lecturer in economics at the Higher School of Insurance and Finance.
